Romy Taylor

Tuesday 17th March 2026

Brudenell Social Club19:30
Celebrating the release of 'Human Nature' title track of her second EP, Romy Taylor and her band bring a genre-defying set to The Brudenell, exploring her growing music catalogue blending old with fresh, unreleased music. A Spanish-English singer-songwriter currently based in Leeds, offering an intimate yet dynamic sound. Fusing pop, soul and contemporary jazz that moves effortlessly between ballads and groove-driven hooks. Described as an artist who “creates atmosphere you can step into” Romy's voice and lyrical honesty have become characteristic of her live performances. Her music found support on BBC Introducing and Radio 5 Live, sold out headliner shows across Leeds as well as playing festival stages at We Out Here, Leeds Jazz Festival and Live At Leeds.  Starting off the night will be first supporting act, singer and saxophonist Emma Coates, who weaves jazz and folk songwriting to create her unique, intimate sound. Her music explores feminine identity and growth, complimented by her delicate and airy tones of her voice and band. Second support comes from Lauren Mikki, who fuses ethereal vocals with a literary-inspired lyrical depth, shaping an indie soul sound beyond genre. BBC Introducings praises her as 'one of the most exciting artists in the uploader'. A woman-fronted night of live music, that blends jazz, folk and pop seamlessly.
